I have always liked this shot, I remember taking it and lining it up perfectly, it took me a few minutes and the EP-2 evf tilted 90 degrees (something I love for composing). Something about it, the way the wall sweeps past this smoothly shaped stool, the way the three walls meet close to a rule of thirds point, to me it presents the stool and it just has so many shapes with the natural light bouncing around in such a weird way because of it, I haven’t adjusted the lighting, I played with contrast and “film modes” in Silver Efex but that only enhanced what was already there.
This was my old apartment, as we were moving out and i’d come to clean this up. It had two balconies, this was the one we never really used you can probably tell.
The vignetting is from the 20mm f1.7 wide open, I like this again because of the shapes, just a surreal scene, this again was when moving out so there was nothing on the floor or anything around. I could do a whole series on shapes and light but then I guess that’s a big part of photography anyway. I’m tired, time for bed.
